TEBRIO BECOMES A B CORP

• The B Corp certification issued by the B Lab organization recognizes businesses with high standards of social, environmental, transparency, and corporate responsibility performance

Only 5,000 companies worldwide have this distinction, awarded to firms seeking to redefine the meaning of business success beyond economic indicators

The Spanish biotech Tebrio has just become a B Corp company for its commitment to the high standards of social and environmental performance, transparency and corporate responsibility promoted by this certification. B Corporations (or B Corps) lead a global movement of people who are transforming the economy to positively impact the planet and the societies that compose it.

In this manner, Tebrio joins a growing community of companies that are helping to redefine the meaning of business success: success that is measured not only in terms of economic profit, but also in terms of the well-being of people, communities and the planet. Such companies are competing not only to be the best in the world, but also to be better for the world.

The prestigious and recognized B Corp standard measures the integral management of the company as a whole and covers five key impact areas: Governance, Employees, Community, Environment and Customers. The certification is awarded by the non-profit organization B Lab to leading companies with a high social and environmental commitment, after passing a rigorous evaluation process through which they must provide evidence of their good practices and incorporate their legal commitment to social purpose in their bylaws.

The B Corp community is made up of 5,000 companies from all over the world. And it is reflected in Europe through companies from different industries and of diverse sizes. Among them are leading brands in their respective sectors, such as Danone, Patagonia, Alpro, Triodos Bank, Alessi, Ecoalf and Innocent.
